The Beginners Spanish Course is an upskilling programme that is designed to support you in developing a strong foundation in Spanish language skills. This series of consecutive evening classes is specifically tailored for Modern Foreign Languages teachers who do not possess any prior knowledge of Spanish and who are seeking to begin teaching the language with confidence.

The course provides comprehensive coverage of essential elements, including Spanish phonics, vocabulary, and grammar. Key areas of focus include topic-specific vocabulary, the conjugation and use of various verb tenses, the formation of opinion phrases, and the use of connectives to construct more complex sentences.

In addition to language content, participants will receive a wide range of resources, practical guidance, and creative teaching strategies, all aimed at enhancing and enriching their classroom practice.

Classes will run from November to December 2025, held from 7:00 to 7:45pm on the following dates:
