This GCSE Spanish course is designed to help Modern Foreign Languages teachers strengthen and develop their Spanish language skills. It is ideal for teachers with some prior knowledge of Spanish who would like to refresh and extend their understanding in order to teach with greater confidence and deliver high-impact lessons.

Delivered through a structured programme of evening classes, the course focuses on key areas of the GCSE curriculum, including Spanish phonics, high-frequency vocabulary, and essential grammar. Participants will revisit a range of verb tenses, explore more complex grammatical structures, and work with GCSE-style exam tasks to build both competence and confidence.

In line with the new GCSE specification, the course places particular emphasis on vocabulary recall, communicative functions, accurate pronunciation, and the development of spontaneous speaking skills. It also provides practical resources, teaching strategies, and classroom-ready activities to support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons that both inspire and challenge students.
